CANNED GAMES Announces the Launch of
"Sidehill Gouger" for Xbox Live

JACKSONVILLE, NB (DECEMBER 15, 2009) – Canned Games (www.cannedgames.com) unveiled itself to the world today as a new development studio based in Jacksonville, New Brunswick. Canned Games’ first project is a unique puzzle game entitled, “Sidehill Gouger”, which is available now as a download on the Xbox Live Indie Games Marketplace. The company is also creating a new Xbox 360 title to be announced at a later date.

Founded by brother and sister team Adam Culberson and Shannon Brownlee, Canned Games is focused on creating high quality games with engaging gameplay and beautiful graphics which make them “Games Worth Preserv’n”. Sidehill Gouger also has contributions by their brother Luke Culberson who composed the original song, “The Woods Traveller” and their father Joe Culberson who acted as a consultant.

Adam and Shannon, originally from the Carleton County area, but who both lived out west for many years have returned home and started this venture together. Their first game, Sidehill Gouger, was inspired by their childhood memories of their grandfather, Everett Culberson, and his stories of mythical creatures to be wary of while playing outback in the woods.

In the game you enter a world of a young boy’s imagination, filled with the mythical creatures of his grampy’s stories. With game environments inspired by the beautiful Carleton County countryside that Adam and Shannon so fondly remember exploring in their childhood. It is a unique, family friendly, hide and seek puzzle game featuring the mysterious Sidehill Gouger who is trying to keep the young protagonist, Andrew, from reaching his favorite fishing creek. Using clues to guide you through each puzzle stage you must master the slingshot to earn up to twelve trophies. Are you an extreme Gouger hunter?
